Liverpool finisher who was in injuries of hamstring while playing for Senegal on 7 october, "Sadio Mane" will be ready for Senegal's World Cup qualifier against South Africa on
Friday after returning to first-team action.
The Senegalese require only two points from their remaining two qualifiers to secure a place at next year's World Cup.Senegal lost 2-1 to South Africa last year but the match has to be replayed due to Ghanaian referee Joseph Lamptey guilty of match manipulation.Joseph Odartei Lamptey of Ghana, has been banned for life by FIFA for manipulating the match. His ban was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport upon appeal, and as a result, FIFA will make South Africa and Senegal replay the match.
FIFA has not released details of the evidence against
Lamptey or why he was handed a lifetime ban, but there is video of him
incorrectly awarding a penalty. In the 41st minute of the match, Lamptey
gifts South Africa a spot kick by whistling for handball on Senegal
defender Kalidou Koulibaly, whose hand was clearly nowhere near the
ball.
The
replayed game will be in South Africa on 10 November, with the
Senegalese capital Dakar hosting the final qualifier four days later.
