TP Mazembe Wins CAF Confederations Cup

  TP Mazembe , a giant team of Lubumbashi DRC and  Africa at large  won the third  successively continental title after 2015 CAF champions League title and the confederation cup lat year.The match was ended 2-1 as aggregate against Supersport at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville capital of Pretoria. The match was tough due to rainfall as well as both team were geared to win the trophy whereby in TP Mazembe side two excellent chances inside the opening 15 minutes for Mazembe to extend their aggregate lead and effectively finish off the tie early as the rain poured down for most of the match.Mazembe were expected to sit back and defend their precarious lead but surprised their hosts with an attacking start.
On other side Super sport  had plenty of possession in the first half and put the ball in the net but Tefu Mashamaite was correctly flagged offside as he guided the ball in from close range just past the half-hour mark.
After the break, SuperSport pressed forward but were consistently let down by their final pas and inability to win the second ball. They also met a determined defensive wall as Mazembe defended tigerishly, with their experienced backline holding firm.

Tp Mazembe is now outstand with 15 African cups overall and makes best team in Africa.
Mazembe became only the second club after 2006 winners Etoile Sahel of Tunisia to lift the trophy without losing a match.
 Apart from two Confederation Cup titles, Mazembe have won the Champions League five times, the Super Cup three times and the now defunct African Cup Winners Cup once.
Those 11 trophies make them the second most successful club in CAF competitions after Al Ahly of Egypt, who have won 19 titles.
